Equality North Carolina Releases

Second Round Of 2020 Endorsements

Raleigh – On Tuesday, Equality North Carolina released the second round of their 2020 endorsements for political races across the state of North Carolina. This second batch builds on the first round of candidates released in January.

These endorsements include candidates in the North Carolina General Assembly, Council of State, US Congress and local races across the state. Equality North Carolina will continue to release endorsements in the coming weeks and months, including judicial races.

This morning, Kendra R. Johnson, Executive Director of Equality North Carolina, released the following statement:

“We feel privileged to have such a massive number of candidates committed to issues of LGBTQ equality and social justice. While there are many candidates who stand with our communities that we haven’t endorsed, Equality NC is also committed to achieving broader representation and diversity in the halls of government in the years to come. North Carolinians deserve leaders who represent their identities, values and priorities as we head into the most important election season of our lifetime.”
