Equality North Carolina Announces 2019 Municipal Elections Endorsements
The oldest statewide organization dedicated to LGBTQ rights is endorsing candidates in thirteen cities.
Raleigh – On Tuesday, Equality North Carolina announced its full slate of endorsed candidates for the 2019 Municipal Elections. These individuals were chosen through a selection process by the Equality NC PAC. The endorsed candidates align with the organization’s ongoing mission of fighting for a more just and equitable world for all North Carolinians.
“Local elections are crucial because they shape the communities where people live their daily lives in North Carolina,” said Equality NC Executive Director Kendra R. Johnson. “2020 will be one of the most important elections of our lifetime. It’s vital that we lay the groundwork locally in order to help shift the culture of the United States from the dangerous path we’re currently headed down, and fight for a more just and equitable world for all marginalized folks.”
The full list of endorsed candidates can be found below. We will be releasing additional endorsements in the coming weeks.
